Doing a Google search today? Try Qwiki instead - Wikipedia in Gold Class
Qwiki is a quick wiki. What?
A wiki is a web page of information that groups, friends, and families can edit together. Wikipedia is moderated by trusted members of the Wikipedia community who are experts, authorities and sometimes just everyday people who know a great deal about a subject. Wikis can be edited and altered regularly and this enables them to be current and mostly accurate. However, we always encourage more than one source of information to validate our arguments. Wikipedia is valid, but further investigation of the sources of the Wikipedia article and other authoritative sources will help clarify concepts.
Qwiki is a multimedia wiki experience, where the text is read out for you, and images, text, maps and video combine to create a truly interesting presentation. You can also embed the presentation, turn subtitles on and off, find related articles, add your own content to the presentation and jump to different sections on the presentation timeline. The content is still sourced from Wikipedia, so students need to use other sources to gather a wide range of information.
